Trojans rebound to split weekend series with Southeastern
The North Iowa Area community College Trojans has kept its ICCAC conference regular season title hopes alive by winning against Southeastern, 9-7 and 5-2.
Lucas Bakker (QLD) was credited with the win in game one. In this game against Southeastern Lucas pitched 5.2 innings giving up 1 earned run in the 9-7 win.

The series split with Southeastern (27-20, 11-9) keeps NIACC three games ahead of the Blackhawks in the conference standings. NIACC needs one win against No. 9 DMACC (35-11, 15-1) to clinch a first round bye in the Region XI Tournament starting on May 10. NIACC also has an outside shot to win the conference regular season title if they sweep DMACC next weekend.

North Iowa Community college is 32- 9 overall having just swept Dkota County Technical college this week 7-1 in the first of a double header and 7-4 in the second.
Lucas Bakker pitched 7 innings on the 14th against Ellsworth Community College where he had an unearned run scored against him striking out 4 and walking 1 in a complete game
Lucas is now at the top of the pitching stats with an ERA of 2.03 in 44.1 innings pitched with 6 wins 2 losses in 8 starts.
