COLLEGE WATCH – Jace Poole [NSW]
The Hawaii Pacific baseball team (2-0, 2-0) showed off its bats today in a season opening sweep of Hawaii-Hilo (0-2, 0-2). HPU won the first game 17-7 and the second game by a 14-7 count. Novacastrian Jace Poole went 2-2 with three runs in his Sea Warrior debut.
(February 12, 2012) – After closing the 2011 season on a six game winning streak, the Hawaii Pacific baseball team (4-0) has picked up where it left off. HPU has won the first four games of 2012, including a doubleheader sweep on Sunday over Hawaii-Hilo (0-4) at Hans L’Orange Park. HPU out slugged the Vulcans in the first game 9-8 and then took the second game 3-1.
(February 18, 2012) – The Hawaii Pacific baseball team swept a doubleheader from the Pacific University Boxers today at Hans L’Orange Park. The Sea Warriors are 7-0 entering a double header today against Pacific University.

The Iowa Central baseball teams’ final two games at the Region XI Tournament at Riverfront Stadium in Waterloo ironically summed up the Tritons’ season – all or nothing.
The Tritons, facing elimination with their next loss, got some redemption for an opening round upset as it pounded Ellsworth 11-1 to begin Sunday’s action. But then against Kirkwood, the Tritons could only muster one run on four this in a 4-1 season-ending loss to the Eagles.
“That’s how our season has been this year, all or nothing,” said head baseball coach Rick Pederson. “We played great in the first game and everything found a hole. Against Kirkwood we couldn’t get one through.”
Jace poole who hails from Newcastle NSW a sophmore in his final year at Iowa Central were eliminated from the region 11 tournament
