Kennelly, Russell extend their streaks: Hughes’ “almost” cycle; Oeltjen back.

Andrew Russell – is he a potential September call up?

Matt Kennelly went 1-3 today, scoring 1 run for the Mississippi Braves and extended his hitting streak to 9. He is hitting .452 in his last 10 games.

Andrew Russell extended his run of scoreless outings to 10 when he pitched 1.2 innings for 2H, 0R, 1K today. His ERA in AAA is 1.53.

Dare we begin to wonder if he could be a September call up?

Luke Hughes, who had his own hitting streak of 10 games until this week, went within a home run from hitting the cycle today when he went 3-6 for Las Vegas where he is hitting .320.

Trent Oeltjen, who had been put on the DL after experiencing recent dizziness, had a rehab outing today with the Dodgers Rookie team. He went 2-5 with 1 run and an RBI.
