Blackley to make spot start against White Sox

Travis Blackley has moved back into the rotation, but it’s only temporary.

Oakland have announced that they would be re-shuffling their rotation in order to give some of their younger starters extra rest.

SF Chronicle’s Susan Slusser reports that Travis Blackley is just making a spot start on  Saturday and not being  added to the A’s rotation.

Lefty Tommy Milone will be rested. He had an ordinary outing last week giving up 6 runs in 6 innings against Toronto.

Travis has a 3.30ERA and 49/18  K/BB ratio over 73.2 innings.

Travis isn’t sure he’d say he’s back in the rotation – it’s just one start – ” but it’s cool to get one in there now and then”
