Andrew Russell called up to AAA
Andrew Russell was called up to the AAA Gwinnett Braves today following his excellent season at AA. He was greeted with an immediate double when he came on in the 7th, followed by a groundout and an RBI single before retiring the Lousiville side. He came back in the 8th for a scoreless inning. He finished his inaugural AAA outing of 2 innings with 3H, 1R, 1K. Lousiville gave the Braves their 3rd straight loss winning 3-2.
Also in the game was Canberra’s Didi Gregoria who went 1-4 for Lousiville with a double but ground out on a comebacker to Andrew in the 8th. Meanwhile over at 3rd was Perth umpire Jon Byrne.
