Grant Balfour in charge whilst on the farm Trent Oeltjen homers again
Grant Balfour gave up a single to the 1st hitter he faced today in the 12th inning but that was all he would allow the Mariners as he disposed of the next 3 hitters most effectively in the A’s 2-1 win in the 13th.
Trent Oeltjen’s hot July continued today with his 9th home run in a 5-3 day including a double whilst scoring 3 runs. Trent has hit safely in his last 7 games and is hitting .378 in his last 10 games and .292 for the season.
Should there be an injury at Dodger Stadium Trent is certainly giving himself the best chance of a return to LA.
