Oakland Athletics – ROSTER REPORT – Blackley
Travis Blackley (lower back stiffness) left his June 26 start due to the minor ailment. He made his next scheduled start July 1.
Travis Blackley’s next turn in the rotation will be skipped, although manager Bob Melvin told the San Francisco Chronicle it is not because of Blackley’s recent back stiffness. Melvin wants to keep LHP Tommy Milone, RHP Jarrod Parker and RHP Bartolo Colon, the latter just back from the disabled list, on turn before the All-Star break.
