Hendriks produces a quality start for Twins despite 3-2 loss
Liam Hendriks allowed 3 runs in his 6.1 innings against the White Sox. But it was a much improved effort by the Western Australian who received minimal support from the Twins offence who finally picked up 2 runs in the 9th to fall 1 run short.
Liam gave up 5 hits and 1 walk – which unfortunately was immediately followed by the 1 home run he allowed. His control was much better than his recent outings getting ahead of the hitters and getting the majority of his 1st pitches in for a strike to strike out 5. Of the 92 pitches he threw, 61 were strikes.
So that 1st win still eludes him but his performance today will ensure he gets another chance to break the drought.
