Liam Hendriks – expected to be sent to AAA
The Minnesota Twins are expected to option SP Liam Hendriks to Triple-A Rochester Monday, May 7.
It is announced that prospect RHP Scott Diamond will be recalled.
As we have said previously it’s not such a bad thing for Liam if he is sent down to AAA to get some more experience and maturity. The idea was always to give him some more AAA time but the situation with the pitching rotation saw him catapulted into a starter’s role, probably a little prematurely.
Liam is considered one of the Twins top prospects and he won’t be in AAA for any longer than necessary.
