Warwick Saupold blew his 1st save for the season today for the West Michigan Whitecaps going 4 innings and giving up 2 runs on 2 hits and a walk whilst striking out 5. Ok so he blew the save statistically but really those aren’t bad results overall and those 5 Ks is pretty impressive – it was his 2 run throwing error that undid him today. Warwick came on in the 8th and threw to the 11th before being relieved for the 12th. Fort Wayne TinCaps scored the winning run in the 12th. Fellow Perth Heat player Corey Adamson was 0-3 with a walk for Fort Wayne.
A mixed day for Stefan Welch who went 1-4 with 3Ks for the Bradenton Marauders.
Boss Moanaroa was 1-4 with 1 run today for the Greenville Drive.
