The A’s snapped a string of 16 scoreless innings by posting two runs in the eighth against the White Sox on Tuesday, which proved more than enough to support a superb outing by Tommy Milone in a 2-0 victory. Grant Balfour came on in the 9th and allowed 1 hit in producing another scoreless inning and collecting his 5th Save. Luke Hughes playing at 3rd was 0-3 with 1 K.
