Josh Spence’s rough outing
The 8th started well for Josh Spence when he got rid of the Phillies marquis player Hunter Pence but it quickly deteriorated after that with Josh giving up 3 straight singles to load the bases just after Shane Victorino, after being denied a hit by pitch when plate umpire Dan Bellino ruled he leaned into a strike from Josh had added a solo home run. Josh’s line reads .1INN, 4H, 1R, 1HR.
Thankfully for Josh, lefty Joe Thatcher did a remarkable job and retired the side without any addition to the score. The final score was 4-1 to the Phillies.
