AAA – Blackley gets win, Oeltjen
In his 3rd outing for the season Travis Blackley [above] collected his 2nd win today when he threw 7 scoreless innings for the Fresno Grizzlies in their 5-2 win over the Reno Aces. In those 7 innings he allowed 6 scattered hits, 1 walk and struck out 3 leaving him with a 0.55ERA. A very good day in the office for Travis. He also went 2-3 with the bat and scored a run. Quite a day.
Trent Oeltjen was 1-4 with 2RBI for the Albuquerque Isotopes in a 5-4 win over Iowa. Trent is hitting .255.
Travis Blackley could quickly get a major league call up with this form!
He has cited the great support he received from his Australian Agent when he was a teenager that helped his confidence when he was making his way through the minor leagues. Barry Holland also appreciated his talent a lot too and was an excellent shepherd during Blackley’s early journey.
Blackley’s time in Korea has given him something extra.
Travis also went 2-3 with the bat!
