AA – Beard, Beresford, de San Miguel, M Kennelly, T Kennelly,
Mathew Kennelly had his best game for the Mississippi Braves in their frustrating 13 inning 4-3 loss to the Montgomery Biscuits. Matt who caught the whole game went 2-4, had 1 RBI and scored a run in the losing effort.
Tim Kennelly also had a good day with the bat for the Reading Phillies with a 2-4 day which included a double and a run in the Phillies’ loss to Harrisburg
San Antonio Missions‘ Hayden Beard dropped his 2nd game in 2 outings today when he had a horrendous 4th against Tulsa after keeping them scoreless for 3 innings. He had faced the minimum 9 hitters in those 1st 3 but then the wheels fell off. Four doubles, a HPB and an error later and Tulsa had produced 5 runs. To his credit Hayden came back out in the 5th and retired the side in order. Whilst the Mission outhit Tulsa 12 – 6 they could not overcome that 4th inning onslaught and finished the game down 5-3. Hayden also hit a double in an attempt to help his own cause.
Allan de San Miguel went 1-4 and scored a run for the Bowie Baysox who went down 11-10 to the Erie Seawolves in the bottom 10th in a game which produced a total of 28 hits. Allan is hitting .385 after 3 games.
James Beresford was 0-2 with 1RBI in the New Britain Rock Cats 7-6 win over New Hampshire.
