We dont mean Josh threw the ball quicker – we mean he got Miguel Montero out quicker.
Yesterday you will recall he took 3 pitches to strike him out. He took 3 pitches to make Montero look foolish.
Well today in the 6th with the D’Backs having just gone ahead 2-1 and with 2 on he dispatched the left hitting catcher with 1 pitch inducing him to fly out to left field with a 74mph curve ball. Montero walked back to the dugout. Josh having done his job for the day headed to the showers. Final score D’backs 3 – SD 1.
