The Fort Myers Miracle shut out Palm Beach 6-0. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Miracle (16-26, 50-62), who had also lost 14 of their previous 15. It was the first time Fort Myers had recorded a shutout since they blanked the Charlotte Stone Crabs 4-0 on June 27th. James Beresford went 2-5 and drove in a run in the 9th. He is hitting .333 in his last 10 games.
Alan Schoenberger has had little game time recently as he plays behind some higher profile players, but today he was given the chance to play and made the best of the opportunity going 2-4, including a double and scoring a run for the Clearwater Threshers.
Stefan Welch proved himself a patient hitter today drawing 3 walks and going 0-1 with 1RBI for the St. Lucie Mets.
